Amanda Waterhouse

Amanda (Ball) Waterhouse was born in Sulphur Springs, Texas and raised in Gainesville, Texas. She graduated from Sam Houston State University, cum laude, with a Bachelor of Arts in political science and a minor in history. While there, she was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta Freshman Honor Society, Golden Key International Honor Society, Alpha Chi Honor Society, and the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honor Society.

In November of 2006, Ms. Waterhouse was admitted to the State Bar of Texas. She joined Reina & Associates in February of 2007. Since her arrival at the Firm, Ms. Waterhouse has represented clients in a variety of cases. These include cases adjudicated by Citizenship and Immigration Services as well as deportation defense before immigration judges, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Waterhouse has also been admitted to the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas. In removal proceedings, Ms. Waterhouse has successfully represented clients in applications for Cancellation of Removal, Cancellation of Removal for non-Permanent Residents, 212(c) waivers, 212(h) waivers, 237(a)(1)(H) waivers, adjustment of status, withholding of removal, protection under the Conven on Against Torture, NACARA, and Temporary Protected Status. Ms. Waterhouse is also the author of “Don’t Fear The Reaper: 204(l) And What It Means For Your Clients”, an article published by the State Bar of Texas as part of the 2012 Advanced Immigration Law course. She is conversant in Spanish.
